Indie duo Billy & Bella layer influences of folk-rock and dream-pop with lush songwriting to create a sound reminiscent of pre-Millennial California neo-psychedelia. They combine elements from diverse musical interests, ranging from the folk and alternative rock of Mazzy Star, Chris Isaak, and Radiohead, to harder rock influences of The Stone Temple Pilots, Carlos Santana, and Led Zeppelin. Both former California natives, the imagery of the state appears throughout their songwriting. Fundamentally, the duo pairs Billy Daely’s sultry electric guitar leads and lilting tenor vocal harmonies, with Bella Roux’s roots-rock rhythm guitar and warm contralto, for a rich musical experience of complementary contrasts.

Strangerwolf was born in fall 2014. Influenced by the likes of Band of Horses, The Avett Brothers, Fleet Foxes, and Neil Young, cousins Ryan and Rick Kennedy decided to keep the music as simple, and organic as possible, usually performing with just an acoustic guitar and light percussion. Since then, the family duo has tried their best to win over Jacksonville with their haunting harmonies, and emotionally charged lyrics. Strangerwolf released their self-titled debut album in the fall of 2015. Greg Jones, of Ear to the Ground music blog, called it “a fantastic entry into the music scene” and said "They have just the right amount of dark, brooding melancholy to keep me interested. But the light and life that emerges from the harmonies keeps me from just turning everything in the room dark.” Currently Strangerwolf is writing material for their second full length album.
